The Reef’s “Simply No Worries” Guarantee
Here at The Reef, Jake Wheeler, our relaxation guru is insisting that we do everything we can to take the stress out of booking a vacation, so not only do we offer simply wonderful value in a beachfront suite vacation, but now we are also taking away the “what if we have to cancel” worry. After all, we’ve had so many shocks and surprises this year, who knows what is next ?
So, here’s our simple guarantee to you. You don't need to be worried in any way shape or form about what happens if you have to cancel your vacation for any reason.
All guests holding a rental reservation who choose to cancel their stay with up to 48 hours before their scheduled arrival are guaranteed our simple cancellation policy: Rebook without penalty or only pay a one night’s penalty for a full cancellation.
Hurricane Policies - Vacation Disruption
Now, as we are in the Hurricane Belt, the dates of the “official hurricane season” are June 1 – Nov 30, but this is also often one of the calmest, most tranquil seasons of the whole year. The persistent high weather patterns that help spawn the occasional Atlantic and Caribbean hurricanes otherwise brings weeks on end of light, balmy southeasterly breezes, calm seas, and excellent diving and snorkeling conditions. We do therefore encourage guests to book to take advantage of this lovely weather for their summer or fall vacation, and, when you book, our “Simply No Worries” guarantee protects you for any cancellations prior to your trip.
Now, when you do travel to The Reef, in the unlikely event that we do get some bad weather and guests are evacuated from The Reef or would like to depart early in order to protect them from a potential hurricane threat, guests who are on a rental reservation will be offered the option of either:
- a refund for their complete stay, including nights already stayed at the resort
- a refund for the remaining nights that were cut short from their vacation, plus in addition a certificate good for the original amount of nights of their stay up to five room nights in our summer/fall season through the end of the following year, based on availability, some restrictions apply
- Diving. In the event any diving is affected by the implementation of our National Hurricane Plan you will receive a full refund on any missed diving. Should you miss at least two full days of diving you will receive a 20% discount on diving booked on your next visit with us.
(Please note that some bookings made not with The Reef directly may be non-refundable and the reef may not be able to reverse payment.)
Hurricane Policies - Traveling To The Reef
Guests holding a confirmed reservation who are unable to travel to The Reef because of the closing of the Grand Cayman airport or the resort due to implementation of either our National Hurricane Plan or the decision of The Reef to close the resort have the option of a full refund or re-booking free of charge with a one-category room upgrade on the next visit taken anytime before the end of the following year. (Valid for the summer/fall season, based on availability, some restrictions apply.)
